10/4/09 Kids Cannibal Movie

The kids MADE the parents leave so they could do a movie. They said "it was the only way their creative juices could flow." After watching this movie, we may need to send some of them to counseling.

Latest Kids Movie (9/4/09)

When mom and dad took off to look at Island Park cabins, the kids stayed home and made a movie. The movie below was made for the parents and has been a lot of fun to watch. As with a lot of these movies, the more we watch the movie, the more we laugh.

When the parents decided to go with a realitor to see Island Park cabin, the kids decided to make a movie. When we returned, this was their creation. Everytime we watch this movie, the more we think it is funny.

When mom and dad went off with a realitor in Island Park, Idaho, the kids stayed behind and made this movie. They did it in just over an hour and the more I watch it, the more I laugh.

Lilly's Performance

Lilly got up early this morning for a run through on some of her to songs. These are done before a smaller number of people, but give practice on performing in front of real live people.

2002 Thelin / Jensen Kids Movie

This movie is one that our family has watched over and over. It is kind of like a Monte Python movie in that, the more we watch it, the funnier we think it is. Jonathan Thelin was the director and made it in 2002. Some things that make us laugh are:

1.) Abby and Canada aren't suppose to laugh, but can't seem to stop.
2.) Canada hits Tanner and makes him show his 'angry face'.
3.) Abby responds to a snap by Jonathan, and tries it herself.
4.) Tanner and Madison talking about the gold and jewels (and crowns)
5.) Abby and Canada thinking Tricia's acting is real (2 times)
6.) Abby and Canada's discussing what they want to do...with their kid accents...classic.
7.) Tanner and Madison trying to bike in hurricane force winds.
8.) etc, etc, etc.

At the end there is a quick piece on Grandma singing with Abby and Canada.

Lilly's first real performance

In 2008, our 5-year old Lilly started taking voice lessons. Lilly really loves to sing and sometimes gets her siblings frusterated by the constant singing while driving in the car.

Lilly had a couple of performances in 2008 and this is one that we recorded.

Abby's Ear Piercing Day

Abby and her best friend Camille went to get her ears pierced today. Abby was so scared and nervous that she practically squeezed my hand off. After, she said it hardly hurt at all. She chose diamond studs for her earrings. After, we went to P.F. Changs for dinner. It was a great girl's night out.
She has really grown up. I am so proud of her for who she has become and the choices she makes in her life.

Gifts from China

Grandma and Grandpa sent gifts from China for the kids. They love playing dress up with all the chinese outfits and decor. 
Lilly loves her light up crown. She thinks it is the coolest thing ever. She wore her red chinese vest today to school!

These crocs were all along the banks of the river by our hotel. No fences here, this was shot from the bridge.

The Lazy Sloth. We saw 4 of these slowly eating leaves from trees on a hike to the beach.

Crazy Monkeys. When we got to the beach, these monkeys were running all around us.

After a good hike, we had a great lunch high in the mountains overlooking the ocean with good friends.

Jason's Trip to Costa Rica

Beautiful beaches of Costa Rica. This is in betweeen his scuba dives at lunch time where they pull up on the beach and cook lunch for all the divers. After lunch, they go out for some more dives. This was an all day dive trip.
